I began this blog to include some longer ruminations about the process of doing family history, and to document some of the more complicated situations I’ve worked with. My family tree is a bit of a bramble bush — both because each of my four main geographic branches lived in small areas for many generations, but also because after immigration to the USA, people from each of those branches seem to have found each other and married, as my grandparents and great grandparents did.
I’ve also sometimes added my two cents worth on genealogy tools or genealogy principles.
